Homemade Mutton Seekh Kebab Recipe

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Minced Mutton (Lamb) 500 grams
Onion 1/2 Cup
Ginger and Garlic Paste 1 Tablespoon
Cumin Powder 1 Teaspoon
Coriander Powder` 1 Teaspoon
Red Chili Powder (Adjust to your Taste) 1 Teaspoon
Garam Masala 1 Teaspoon
Turmeric Powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon or to taste
Fresh Coriander Leaves (chopped) 2 Tablespoon
Cooking Oil 2 Tablespoon
Wooden Skewers (pre-soaked in water) As you required

Directions

Step 1: Wash the mutton properly with vinegar and then place the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Step 2: In a mixing bowl, add the ground mutton, cooking oil, chopped onion, fresh coriander leaves, ginger and garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and a pinch of salt.
Step 3: Mix everything with clean hands. Allow the meat to marinate for at least 3 hours.
Step 4: Take a small amount of the mixture and shape it around a wooden skewer (soak the wooden skewers in water to prevent them from burning). It should look like a long, slender sausage. Repeat this process with the remaining mixture. Option for healthier cooking methods like grilling, baking, or pan-frying with minimal oil to keep the dish nutritious.
Step 5: Option 1: Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Brush a little cooking oil on the kebabs to prevent them from sticking. Carefully place the kababs on the grill. Cook for about 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.
Step 6: Option 2: Fry
In a large frying pan, add enough oil to cover the bottom. Heat the oil over medium-high heat. Carefully place the Kebabs in the hot oil. Allow the kebabs to cook for 3-4 minutes on one side or until golden brown on both sides. The exact time may vary depending on the size and thickness of the kebabs. When the kebabs are cooked to your liking and have a crispy exterior, remove them from the pan. Place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil. Now your yummy homemade Kebab is ready, and don't forget to share it with your loved ones. Enjoy it.
